Q. What type of specialized treatments or therapies does ellephysio use?
A. Your personalized treatment could include one or a combination of the following treatment techniques based on your unique needs:
This is a hands-on treatment used to assess and treat different issues such as stiff or restricted joints, muscle tightness, and limited function.
When the core is weak it can negatively affect all other areas of the body. Core restoration includes strengthening all four muscles of the core including the diaphragm, pelvic floor, deep lower abdominals and multifidus (small spinal muscles).
This treatment focuses on strengthening the core from the inside out.
Muscle Energy Technique (MET)
This treatment addresses impaired movement using manual therapy. MET mobilizes restricted joints, stretches muscles, strengthens underactive muscles, relaxes overactive muscles and can help reduce swelling.
When muscles are injured, the fascia tightens and shortens causing pain and loss of function. Using a soft tissue technique that uses constant pressure, myofascial release works to reverse these changes.
This relatively painless treatment involves the insertion of fine needles in particular areas of the body to relieve pain and improve function. It works by stimulating the body to produce endorphins, which help to block pain and promote relaxation.
This gentle manual therapy can eliminate stress, pain, chronic headaches and improve your well-being with a light touch treatment.
